Robert (Bob) Lester Forrer a US Airforce Veteran, passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the age of 95 years. He suffered a long battle with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Bob was born July 3, 1929, to Lester B. and Genevieve Forrer in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1946, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps which took him through both the Korean War and two tours in the Vietnam War. After retiring from the US Airforce in 1967, he and his then wife Jo, travelled all over the US in their motor home. He spent many years fulfilling his dream of travel. He visited and made friends in every state in the US. After Jo’s passing, he settled in Arizona for a while before returning here to Ft. Worth to be near his children. He lived a very adventurous life and had many stories to share. Bob is survived by his son, Stephen Forrer and his partner, Amy Ginn. His daughter Terry Forrer Lee. Grandchildren, Tamara, Lesli, Justin, Taylor and Liam. Seven great grandchildren, Waylon, Kara, Kroslee, Ashlynn, Kendall, Charlotte and Eden. We would also like to thank the staff and caregivers at Gemstone Senior Living at River Park. A small ceremony will be held at the DFW National Cemetery Thursday, March 27th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) or The American Legion.
