Robert L Smith

Robert Lee Smith (September 19, 1935 – October 5, 2026). Robert Smith, or “Smith”, as everyone knew him, age 91, of Broken Arrow, OK died of natural causes in Granbury, TX. Smith was born in Murphy, North Carolina to the late Ida Lee Elliott Smith. His father, William G. Smith, also preceded him in death. He married the love of his life, Barbara G. Urbanek, whom he met while serving in the Army in Germany, on March 2, 1957. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage before her sudden death in 2017. Smith loved each of us, but he loved Barb with all his heart and surely greeted her in heaven with a warm, “Hello Darlin”. He spent most of his life as an x-ray technician traveling throughout the United States and overseas. This work resulted in many friends that were with him throughout his life. He is survived by numerous cousins, 8 nieces & 1 nephew. It should be noted that Smith is golfing in Heaven today (and everyday). A memorial service will be held on a future date at Sunset Hills Burial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5001 Everhard Rd. NW, Canton, Ohio 44718.
