Robert Thompson

FORT WORTH – Robert Thompson, 70, passed away on December 17, 2010 after a courageous battle with mantle cell lymphoma. Funeral: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Hallmark Baptist Church in Fort Worth: Interment: 1:45 P.M. Wednesday at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Bob was born on December 16, 1940 in Charlotte N. Carolina. He joined the United States Air Force on July 23, 1958 and retired August 1, 1989 as a CMSGT, and was currently employed at the Veterans Administration outpatient clinic in Fort Worth. Bob was always committed to the task he was given, and always gave it all he had to give. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors: wife, Patricia; son, James Thompson and wife Jessica; daughters Jessica Thompson, Laurie Weintraut and husband Dave, Shelly McGuire and husband Bill and Kari Blackman and husband Andrew; 7 grandsons and 3 granddaughters and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
