Ronald George Turner

FORT WORTH — Ronald George Turner, 63, of Fort Worth went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 27, 2014. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at Christ Church, 5301 Altamesa Blvd., Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ Church to further Ron’s favorite community service projects. He married his college sweetheart, Doris Batty, on Aug. 14, 1971. They pastored two Assemblies of God churches and worked at a Christian counseling center before coming home to Christ Church in Fort Worth. Ron passionately served the Lord and others. He loved hunting, fishing, projects, baking, his grandkids and helping people. Survivors: His wife, Doris; daughters, Dawn and David Burke, Rebecca, and Robyn; and grandchildren, David Jr., Noah and Chloe Burke.
