Roselina Leese

d. February 9, 2016

Keller, TX – Roselina “Rose” Leese died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, on February 9, 2016. She was born on December 31, 1934 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Predeceased by her mother and step-father Awilda and Antonio Andres; her father Geronimo Cayaban; Rose is survived by her children, Toni (Jerry) Cates, Jennifer (Mark) Fore, Robert (Missy) Leese; her brother Cenon (Darlene) Andres, her grandchildren, Christopher (Dana) Sobey, Brittany Fore, and Benjamin Leese; and her great grandchildren Ashton, Emerson and Lily. She will be missed by her many relatives and friends. Rose, a long standing member of the United Methodist Church, was a loving mother and world’s greatest “Nana”. Rose and Fred raised their family in Ashton, Illinois. She worked for Crest Foods for over 10 years. In retirement, Fred and Rose lived with her eldest daughter in Keller, Texas. Her greatest pleasure was exploring new recipes, FarmVille and Mahjong, traveling and spending time with her family. A celebration of Rose’s life will be held in Ashton, Illinois later this spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community of Hospice Organization of Texas. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.lonestarcremation.com. A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we’re together again. –Author unknown
