Celebration of Life
Ruby Jewel Ezell
March 13, 1953 – September 7, 2026
Born in Dermott, Arkansas, Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God.
Ruby dedicated her life to caring for children and had a genuine love for people—she truly never met a stranger. She faithfully served alongside her late husband of 50 years, Dr. Arthur James Ezell Jr., as First Lady of Bethlehem Baptist Church and shared her love for God through service and singing in the choir. She later became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory her children, Amanda Brown (Michael), Donald Ezell, and Joshua Ezell; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Edward Earl Jordan (Diane); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, friends, and loved ones.
Ruby will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her servant's heart, her love for children and family, and the warmth she extended to everyone she met. Her faith was her foundation, her love was her gift, and her legacy will live on through generations.
On September 7, 2026, the Lord called home His faithful servant Ruby Jewel Ezell.
