Sharon Elizabeth Simms

Mansfield, TX – Sharon Elizabeth Simms passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023 in Mansfield, Texas. She was born on March 13, 1944 in Santa Barbara, California. Sharon is survived by her children Lisa Crowder, Jerry Crowder, and Michelle (Keith) Hughes; her siblings Barbara Ireland, and Richard (Jody) Zegers; and her granddaughter, “Yoshi” Elizabeth Hughes. She will be missed deeply by her church family of Tate Springs Baptist Church, and especially her Super Seniors Sunday school class. Sharon came to accept Jesus as the Lord of her life in January of this year. From that point on, her deepest desire was that everyone she met would also know the joy and peace experienced with following Jesus. Sharon was baptized in February to show the world she gave her life to Jesus. Sharon loved others well and was always willing to help and give to anyone she met. Sharon saw the good in everyone and thought everyone was deserving of her time and resources. She truly cared about people. Anyone who knew her was changed by her life. A celebration of life will be held at Tate Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11:00 am.
