Sharon “Sis” Rae Meckel

Arlington, TX – Sharon “Sis” Rae Meckel passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 21, 2015. She was born on April 18, 1956 in Mountain Home, Idaho to Dolores and Hurley “Bud” Robison. Her father preceded her in death. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Steve Meckel; her son Jason Wood and his wife Leslie; her mother, Dolores Robison; her sister, Karen Echeverria; her brother, Tom Robison and his wife, Wendy; many nieces and nephews and a host of loving friends. Steve and Sis travelled the country during his career with the U.S. Navy, and upon his retirement, settled permanently in Arlington, Texas. She was a huge NASCAR fan, loved to bowl, read, and spend time with her pets, which she loved dearly. But above all, Sis enjoyed spending time with her friends. There was always a welcome for them at her home. She will be missed greatly by many. In lieu of a formal service, a celebration of her life will be held at her home on Saturday, November 28th from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. For further details, please email SirLukeMeckel@yahoo.com.
