Shawn Alexander Campbell

Shawn Alexander Campbell, age 65, of Waco, Texas, passed away at Methodist Dallas Hospital on December 3, 2025.

Shawn proudly served his country in the United States Army for 10 years, attaining the rank of Corporal. During his service, he earned numerous awards and commendations, including the Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Lapel Button, Driver and Mechanic Badge (Driver-W), Marksman Badge (Rifle), and Expert Badge (Hand Grenade).

Following his military service, Shawn worked as a Concrete Inspector for the Texas Department of Transportation, as well as for several concrete construction firms, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his trade.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and was also a skilled carpenter. Shawn shared with his family that his greatest accomplishments were his two sons and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ermie and Margaret Campbell, and is survived by his sons Alexander Campbell (wife Brooke) and Zachary Campbell; their mother, Christine Simons; his sister Holly Burke (husband Dennis); and his brothers Gregory Campbell (wife Jeanne) and Adam Campbell (wife Gwen).

Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, located at 11463 State Highway 195, Killeen, Texas 76542. His ashes will be scattered in the cemetery’s Scatter Garden.
