Shelley Renea Clifton passed away in her home on Sunday, July 28th. She was born May 7th, 1971 and was the third child of Brenda Chambers and Alton Hambrick, Jr. In 1975 Brenda married David Chambers, and they raised their blended family together in Irving, TX. During her school days, Shelley was a social butterfly and had many friends, some with whom she was friends up until her passing. Shelley graduated High School in 1990 and began her trade as a cosmetologist. Along the way she worked at different salons, until she was eventually able to own her own shop, Hair Rocks in Watauga, Tx. In 1999, Shelley began dating Barrett Clifton. On May 2, 2001, they were married, and they began a beautiful life together, enjoying the outdoors, fishing and caring for their numerous dogs over the years. He was her strong protector and biggest supporter. In 2019, Shelley was baptized and was a Christian in faith. Shelley will be fondly remembered for her gift of gab, and for her huge, giving heart. If you were going through a rough time, she would always say “I’m praying for you.’ Shelley is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Barrett Clifton, and her parents Brenda Chambers and Alton Hambrick, Jr. Surviving family members include her dad, David Chambers, brother Curtis Hambrick of Sherman, sisters Karin Sinclair of Arlington and Kathy Laughlin of The Colony, nephews Alex and Ashton Laughlin, Tyler and Jayce Hambrick, and Thomas and Matthew Spikes, and other family members and friends that were more like family to Shelley.
