Steven Michael Blankenship

Steven Michael Blankenship passed away unexpectedly at the age of 37 on Friday, April 25, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. Steven was born on November 22,1987 in Arlington, Texas.

Steven will be greeted in heaven by his grandparents, Ruth & John Jacobs, Faye & Lincoln Blankenship, his uncle, John Jacobs and his aunt, Sue Blankenship.

Steven is survived by his loving parents Joan & Mike Blankenship, his younger brother Mark Blankenship, his older siblings Sheri Blankenship, Michael Don Blankenship (Julie), uncles, Donald Blankenship, Gary Jacobs (Angela), Kenneth Jacobs (Patti) and Douglas Jacobs (Ellen), niece and nephews, Chloe Blankenship (Isabel), Michael Blankenship, Nathan Blankenship (Hannah), Montrel Wilson, grand-nieces Indy, Stevie & Colbie, 12 cousins, many other relatives and his canine companion Cody.

Steven was a sports enthusiast who loved the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech football. He loved playing baseball; roller hockey and he was an avid scratch golfer. He played all four years on his high school golf team. Steven qualified individually to go to State in his senior year of high school. He then attended Ranger College on a golf scholarship.

Steven struggled with mental disabilities for the last 13 years of his life. Although it hindered his ability to socialize, he was happy, he always saw the positive and lived life his way. His greatest pleasure was spending time at the beach in Galveston on vacations with his family.

A memorial service will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Arlington, TX on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Schizophrenia & Psychosis Action Alliance. www.sczaction.org.
