Steven David McKee

Beloved Husband, Brother, and Friend passed away December 11, 2024, at his home in Cleburne, Texas with his wife by his side.
Steven was born at St Joseph’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas to Walter and Pat McKee on May 25, 1957. He lived most of his life in Fort Worth but visited his grandparents on Eagle Mountain Lake where there is a street named for him, Steven’s Trail! Steven worked as a Registered Radiologic Technologist for 25 years at Texas Health Fort Worth in the Emergency Room where he loved taking care of patients.
Steven longed to be in the country, so he and his wife LaDonna bought property and moved to Cleburne, Texas in 1994. They both worked at Texas Health Cleburne after the move.
Steven was a Past Master of Southside Masonic Lodge 1114, which his great-grandfather started. He was also a member of the Southside Chapter 378, Council 315, Commandry 83, and the South Fort Worth Chapter Order of the Eastern Star 835. He was also a member of Hulen Street Baptist Church.
Steve and LaDonna loved to travel. They spent 3 weeks traveling in Ireland, England, Holland, Germany, and France. They took numerous trips to Mexico, Dominican Republic, and St. Kitts. They also took several trips to California and Missouri to visit family, and Colorado to fish.
Steven is survived by his wife of 41 years, LaDonna of Cleburne, brother Paul McKee and his wife Jan of Granbury, and his sister Lois McKee of Granbury, sister-in-law Wanda Slate and husband Carl of Ava, Mo, sister-in-law Annette Bade and husband Mike McMullin of Whitewater CA numerous, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
His celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on June 1, 2025, at the Cleburne Conference Center, Cleburne, TX. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on June 2, 2025, at the Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Worth, TX.
