Susan Kay Boot, born on June 22, 1946, in Brownwood, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Decatur, Texas. She was a cherished member of Trinity Baptist Church in Boyd, TX and a dedicated professional in the aviation cargo industry.
Kay's journey began in Bordon County, TX then moved to Fort Morgan, CO, where she cultivated a passion for learning that led her to earn an associate degree. Her education laid the groundwork for a fulfilling career in aviation in California and then Texas for the remainder of her career. Colleagues and peers admired her for her professionalism and dedication, always striving to contribute positively to her field.
Throughout her life, Kay remained devoted to her family and friends, nurturing those relationships with care and warmth. She was known for her love of singing in the choir and caring for all the new babies in the church nursery. She is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Tiffany and Filiberto Villar. Her brother, Ken and wife Marilyn Riddle, her sister, Marj Riddle, nephew Michael and his wife Claire Riddle, and niece Kristen Riddle. Great niece, Kimberly Riddle and Teran Boone and greatest nephew Rylan Boone. She was proceeded in death by her parents Bill and Francis Riddle.
As we celebrate the life of Kay, we remember her as a remarkable woman whose influence extended far beyond her professional accomplishments. Her spirit will be dearly missed, and her legacy will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life. We know she is enjoying the love and joy of being with Jesus now.
