Susan Kornfeld

December 16, 1957 — July 25, 2024

Sue Kornfeld, a beloved IT professional and passionate artist, passed away on July 25, 2024, at the age of 67 due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Woburn, MA, Sue was the daughter of the late Frank and Maryann McManus. She graduated from Woburn Senior High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix Online. As an IT enthusiast, Sue thrived on the cutting edge of technology. She also expressed her creativity through pottery, painting, and silversmithing, even running her small business, The Beaded Wolf. Her love for animals extended to both stuffed companions and living creatures. Sue’s professional journey included serving as a Research Assistant at El Centro College (now Dallas College), where she became known for her helpfulness, friendliness, and unwavering determination. In her final days, the nurses at the nursing home admired her sweet nature and the friendships she formed. Sue will be reunited with her late husband, Lewis Kornfeld, who passed away on July 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her brother Ron McManus and his wife Susan, her sister Christine M. Behm and her husband Edward, and her parents Francis and Maryann McManus. Sue leaves behind her two sons, Erik and Ken Kornfeld, as well as her sister Patricia Paige and Patricia’s husband Ron, along with many nieces and nephews. A joint funeral service for Sue and Lewis will take place on August 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Gathering Times Ranch in Bonham, Texas. In lieu of flowers, consider making donations to animal rights organizations, conservation efforts, or Alzheimer’s research in Sue’s memory. May her legacy continue to inspire kindness and creativity. 🌹🕊️
