Ted Pyles, Follower of Christ, Husband, Father, grandfather, veteran and avid golfer peacefully left his earthly body to be with Jesus on at 3:16 a.m. on October 29th. Ted is survived by his wife of 45 years Colleen, sons Bryan and Noel, and two sisters Karen and Linda and several nieces and nephews. He also is survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and joins 1 great grandchild that preceded him to Heaven, who know him simply as Grandaddy. Ted is known to many others as the Appliance Doctor. Born in Martins Ferry, Ohio; Ted spent his youth in Ohio before joining the US Army in 1960 serving in Germany guarding checkpoints between East and West Berlin. After marrying his wife Colleen; they eventually found their way to Godley, Texas where they raised their family, eventually retired together and still reside. He endeared himself to others by selflessly giving his time and knowledge of repairing anything from dishwashers to pickup trucks. A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at Freedom Church 2005 McPherson Road Fort Worth, TX 76140 on November 10th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Ted’s name be given to the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association at https://www.ecaware.org/give/donate.
