Thomas Gary Williams, 75, passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on Sunday, June 28, 2015. Service: 10 a.m., Thursday July 2,2015 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday July 1, 2015 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home with Ed Malone officiating. Burial: Brazos Point Cemetery. Tom was born on January 14, 1940 to Lloyd & Mary Williams. He grew up in Cleburne, joined the army at a young age, and met his wife of 46 years, Inge (Edie) Christa while stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. After his military service, Tom was employed as a diesel mechanic for the T&P Railroad. Tom was a skilled mechanic and welder, and enjoyed building and repair/restore projects in his workshop. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, rebuilding classic cars, gardening, and spending time with his friends and family. Tom loved the Lord, and was an active member of New Hope Fellowship Church. Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Edie Williams, his parents, and two sisters, Betty and Patsy. Survivors: Sister and her husband: Beverly & Leon Zellner; daughters and their husbands: Cindy,Allen McGuyer, and Tammy; Chuck Dolbee; grandchildren: Chad, Christy, and Roland McGuyer, and Kyle and Ryan Renshaw; great-grandchildren: Kenleigh, Jagger, and Jude McGuyer, Brynlee Troutt, and Luke Renshaw; lifelong friend Charles McNeill and wife Betty, and many many friends.
