Shari Susan Anderson

Shari Susan Anderson (nee Hunick), age 54, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her home in Fort Worth, Texas. Shari was born on February 7, 1966 in Gonzales, Texas to her birth mother Carol Kuntschik Sweeney who called Shari her loved Child of God. Carol gave Shari up for adoption, and Shari was raised in San Antonio, Texas by her parents, Oscar and Aurora Hunick. A loving mother who raised two daughters, Savannah and Dawn, with Daniel McBride, Shari went back to school in a Licensed Vocational Nurse program where she graduated at the top of her class in 2007. She worked in insurance most of her life where she helped many with the complexities of claims and compliance with a cheerful attitude. Shari made lifelong friends at the companies for which she worked. Shari married Peter Anderson on March 21, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas. She especially loved spending time with family and friends on the patio in their backyard, laughing and drinking beer. She loved watching cooking shows and shared her culinary skills by preparing breakfasts with her internationally famous fresh salsa. Traveling to the coasts of Port Aransas, Corpus Christi and Galveston with her husband to go fishing was another favorite past time. From appreciating art to spending time with grandchildren to cherishing friendships, Shari celebrated all aspects of her life. Family and friends will all be in agreement that the special qualities for which Shari will be remembered are that she was always loving, always giving, and always celebrating as she cared for and pleased people around her. She will be truly missed. Shari is survived by her husband, Peter Anderson; birth mother Carol Kuntschik Sweeney; daughters Savannah and Dawn McBride; step-children Ashley and Derek Anderson; brother Joseph Hunick and his wife Pamela; and her grandchildren: Chase, Nicole, Nathan, Noah, Alexis, Madison, and Landin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Aurora Hunick; her brothers, Kenneth J Sweeney II, Daniel Hunick, James Hunick; and her step-son Trevor Daniel Anderson. It was Shari’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held with details decided upon at a later date. There is a time for everything – Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
