| Virginia (Sam) Pearl Bracken, 92, of Burleson, Texas, died October 22, 2025, in a Burleson facility of natural causes. She was born on June 16, 1933 to Eula Pearl and Nimrod Gillaspie in the panhandle of Oklahoma. She completed school through the eighth grade while working on the family farm and caring for younger siblings. She married Joe B. Guerrero of Hugoton, Kansas and gave birth to four children. She later married Bill Bracken and raised a grandson, Larry Bracken and great-grandson, Lawrence Charles Bracken. She worked in the restaurant industry most of her life. She purchased and ran the Kountry Kitchen in Burleson, Texas for many years serving those in her community with homestyle cooking. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and being creative. Virginia is survived by her son, Gerald D. Guerrero and his wife Cathy of Chesapeake, VA, her daughter Deborah A. Williamson and her husband Bob of Burleson. Larry Bracken of Dallas and Lawrence C Bracken of Virginia. Additional grandchildren included Gerald Guerrero, Jr., Tammy Gould, Julia Williamson, Victoria Williamson, and many great grandchildren. Virginia is also survived by sister, Belva McGee of Oklahoma, Donnie Gillaspie of Arizona and Morris Gillaspie of Kansas, plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eula Pearl and Nimrod Gillaspie, two of Virginia’s daughters, Joetta Zodrow and Becky Guerrero. In addition, siblings, Robert Gillaspie, Joe Gillaspie, Wilma Truhlar, Betty Davault have also preceded her. |
