Virginia Merlo

Virginia (Vee) Merlo, 81, passed away on March 16th, 2020 in Granbury TX with her son by her side. She was born in Newark, NJ to Michael & Jennie (Pecorara) Bartiromo. Preceded in death by her parents & survived by her sons, Anthony & Gregory, she was Nana to 8 Grandchildren: Anthony, Candace, Michael, Gregory, Salvatore, Nico, Brienna, & Jordyn, 7 great-grandchildren: Brooklynn, Charles, Ryder, Henry, Levi, Sadie & Saylor, whom all brought her much pride & great joy; her sister (and best friend): Lucille Zelinsky, her Aunt Anne Wildhagen, 6 nieces & nephews & several great-nieces & nephews. Vee was a fabulous cook & always looked forward to holidays & family parties where she could showcase a new recipe or one of her signature ones. She enjoyed reading and playing strategy games with friends & family. And enjoyed her Bingo days at Evergreen at Keller with her many friends. Vee was known as a “classy lady”, & full of spice by her friends there. Her son, Gregory & her daughter in love, Robin would like to express their deep gratitude to the care team of Granbury Villa Rehab & Nursing in Granbury & Elara Caring Hospice for their wonderful loving care of Nana.
