Obituary

Wendy Michele Spearman (Wyman), 56, of Arlington, Texas, went home to the arms of Jesus on May 1, 2026. Born September 15, 1969, in Lemoore, California, Wendy lived a life defined by fierce love, faith, and an unshakable devotion to the people — and creatures — who needed her.

For over 35 years, Wendy served as a nurse, a calling she pursued with the same intensity she brought to everything. She earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from Angelo State University, later adding an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts from the Art Institute of Dallas, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman's University. She further trained as a first assistant through the National Institute of First Assisting. Highly organized and endlessly capable, she was a dedicated professional and a self-described chaos coordinator who could steady any room she walked into.

Those who knew Wendy knew exactly where they stood with her. She was sassy, feisty, blunt, and generous to a fault — the kind of woman who would tell you the truth and then give you the shirt off her back. Above all, she was a loving and proud mom, and her devotion to her family was the center of her world.

Wendy's compassion extended well beyond people. A fierce raccoon advocate and passionate wildlife rehabilitator, she poured her heart into caring for the animals others overlooked. She loved gardening, crocheting, DIY projects, audiobooks, and the constant pursuit of learning and teaching. A lover of travel and beach vacations, she found joy in both adventure and quiet moments at home. A devoted Christian and a deeply patriotic woman, she gave of herself through church mission trips, support for veterans, raccoon rehabilitation, and service to the homeless throughout the Dallas area.

Wendy is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Block, and son-in-law, Grady Block; her father, Curtis Allen Wyman Sr.; and her brother, Curtis Allen Wyman Jr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Maria Hendricks Wyman, her sister, Natalie Wyman, and her favorite, Rella Coon.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no memorial service. To honor her memory, Wendy would ask that you support raccoon rescues across the country. Two especially close to her family's heart are Louie the Raccoon and Samadhi Wildlife.

We love and miss her dearly, and we are deeply grateful for the love and support we have received.

May her memory be eternal.

The family wishes to note: There are understandably many questions regarding the timing and nature of Wendy's passing. Please direct those to Detective Van Treeck and Sergeant Peron of the Arlington Police Department. Any communications received from Wendy's accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, texts, calls, etc.) after May 1st are unauthorized and should be reported as fraudulent. Wendy's family has covered all arrangements; disregard any requests for financial assistance from anyone claiming to know Wendy, and report such requests to the Arlington Police Department and the family.
