William “Guy” Bird
70, of White Settlement, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026.
Guy was born on October 21, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Johnny “J.B.” Bird and Darlene Bird.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Bird of White Settlement, Texas; his daughter, Angela Belcher and her husband, Ronnie; and his cherished grandchildren, Caleb Belcher, Daisy Braun and her husband Jacob Braun, Ryan Belcher, and Avery Belcher. He was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Jade Braun.
Guy is also survived by his half-brother, James Hilts and his wife Tammy of Burleson, Texas, and Billy Rubush of Springtown, Texas; and his brother, Sam Kee and his wife Yvonne of Fort Worth, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Stratton Harman; his father, Johnny “J.B.” Bird; his stepmother, Shirley Bird; his stepsister, Karla King; and his grandparents.
Guy graduated from Southwest High School, Class of 1974. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication, often working two jobs at a time. Over the years, he worked as a machinist, a truck driver, and even delivered newspapers. Even in his final days, he remained determined and spoke of getting back on the road.
He retired from Premier Produce after 12 years of service, but his hardworking nature led him back to driving with ABJ Transport.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Healthcare of Texas.
Guy will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his resilience, and his unwavering work ethic.
