William Edward Vanzura

BURLESON — William Edward Vanzura passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2009. Funeral service: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Interment: Noon Tuesday in DFW National Cemetery. He was born in the city of West, Texas in 1921. A Naval Veteran of World War II, he served time on Midway and was a survivor at Pearl Harbor. He retired as general manager from Texas Industrial Services in 1985. Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Marie; sister, Joyce; sons, William, James, David; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
