FORT WORTH — William “Ray” Henson, Jr., 59, went to Heaven Jan. 2, 2015 in Fort Worth. Service: 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9th at Mayfield Kiser Funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations to Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County would be appreciated by his family. He was born February 4, 1955 in Atlanta at Fort McPherson Army Base hospital. He was a 1973 graduate of Everman High School and worked at Home Depot at I-35 at Sycamore School Rd. Ray was a strong Christian and is now resting peacefully with our Lord. Just prior to his death, he was reading Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. He was a proud Everman Bulldog who loved all sports, especially the Cowboys, Mavs, Stars and Texas Rangers. He also worked at Texas Motor Speedway during the races. He loved to play softball, and he officiated peewee football, basketball, and baseball. He loved to read and had a love for music, especially the blues and ‘60’s classic rock. He was a kind, funny, and giving man who would do anything to help his brothers, sisters, mom and friends. He was preceded in death by his father William “Bill” Henson. Survivors: Mother, Mazie Meziere Henson; Brothers, Mark Henson and Glen Henson; Sisters, Melissa Henson and Lisa Fletcher and husband Doug; uncle, Patrick Meziere; close cousin, Randy Horton and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
