Willie Mae Kennedy

Willie Mae Kennedy died peacefully on August 5, 2020 in Arlington, Texas. She was born on October 22, 1928 in Garden City, Texas and grew up in Lorraine, Texas. Her husband, Thomas, preceded her in death in 2010. Willie Mae is survived by her children, Tom, Carolyn, Keith and Carl. Her daughter Janie White preceded her in death in 2006. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren (1 granddaughter and great granddaughter preceded her in death). Willie Mae and Thomas served as missionaries in Nigeria and Kenya for 25 years. Willie Mae later taught elementary school in Odessa, Texas until retirement. She is remembered for her delicious homemade pies and love of playing games with her family. Her family will miss her beautiful smile and witty humor! Due to coronavirus complications, a memorial service for Willie Mae will be held at a time to be determined.
